Academy Director; Physician Liaison

I have worked in healthcare for 20 years, and currently serve as the Academy Director, as well as the Physician and Community Liaison for Davis Health System.  During my time with Davis Health System, I have served many roles, which includes working in the environmental, clinical and the administrative fields.  My overall experiences in the hospital have allowed me the unique perspective of understanding the hospital system as a whole.  As the Academy Director, I feel it is a wonderful opportunity to work with, and guide, recently graduated high school students throughout our program.  Our former interns have shown a passion for learning, growing and have demonstrated the desire to one-day be leaders in the field of Healthcare.  My hope, and dream, is to be able to help every new intern that enters our program, achieve every goal set before them.

Director of Emergency Services

My career in the medical field started in 2004 as a Med- Surge Nurse. My desire to learn has taken me from ICU to CCU, and finally, my journey ended when I found my home in the Emergency Department. I graduated from Louisiana State University in June 2020 with my Masters's Degree in Health Administration and hold a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas in Arlington. I am an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  My experiences as a bedside, critical care, and emergency room nurse shaped the person I am now. My position as Director of Emergency Services at DMC allows me to provide safe, quality patient-centered care in a timely manner.

Clinical Rehab Supervisor

I am a part of the Leadership team here at Davis Medical Center and have been gifted to work with such caring leadership that serves all caregivers, patients, families, and the community.  My personal value is to grow nurse leaders and give them the tools and resources needed to lead and be successful.  I miss being a frontline nurse but at the same time, I get fulfillment in observing the nurses throughout the organization caring for others.

System Director Laboratory and Therapy Services

There are so many career opportunities and paths you can take in the field of Laboratory Medicine.

I knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but it wasn’t until my freshman year when I read the description for Medical Laboratory Science that I realized this was my calling.  If you are science-minded, this field is for you too.

Why patient care?  Our phlebotomists are the face of the Laboratory!  They represent the Lab in all patient interactions and truly love helping people.  They are absolutely essential to every patient’s healthcare experience.

Clinical Nurse Manager

I have been a Registered Nurse for 21 years and have worked in many different health care areas.  Currently I am the Clinical Nurse Manager for Davis Medical Centers Specialty Services and Women’s Health Care.  My favorite part of being a nurse is seeing how patients come to us at their most needed times, and how our care team can provide the services needed to increase the patient’s quality of life.  In addition, I enjoy working with my team to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to provide care for all of our patients.

Senior Charge Nurse, North 2

It has been my pleasure to be a nurse for the past 23 years.  I have worked in many different states as well as various fields of nursing, including Administration, Emergency Department, Corrections, Psych and Cardiac Stepdown.  My biggest challenge thus far is my current position as Senior Charge Nurse of North 2.  Big challenges bring big rewards and this position at Davis Medical Center has brought me a work family and teamwork I have not experienced at any other facility in my career.  As skilled professionals at DMC We Bring Better Health to Life.
